Lake Michigan Family Vacation

If I could fill out a check list for the perfect family session, this one would have every box checked.  Great location, check!  Perfect lighting, check! Enthusiastic subjects, check!

Celebrating mom’s/grandma’s birthday brought this family to Sawyer, Michigan, from Minnesota, Massachusetts, and east Michigan.  Upon arrival to the location, Chad met me to show me around the grounds and offer up some great suggestions for location shots. With all of the more formal shots taken in the yard, we eventually moved down to the beach, where the young people had no shortage of ideas.  It’s rare I have anyone outlast me when it comes to shooting, but I think we could have gone on for quite a while longer.  As it turns out, it wasn’t necessary, since we got some great shots in our time together.
